[The tape] you are about to hear was made sometime in the latter part of 1958, [just before Christmas]. It was recorded by Charles Moore, who was the husband of Flo [Flora] (Stoker) Moore. [She] is the half sister of Anna (Stoker) Mathis. The voices you are about to hear are Henry [George] Mathis, at the time 97 years old, Charles Moore, George Macfarlane Mathis, and Anna (Stoker) Mathis. This tape was in the possession of Charles Moore for 37 years, and was given to Henry George Mathis, II, in St. George, [Washington County, Utah], in the spring of 1995.
